One cool thing about travelling through Vietnam is you can buy a sleeper bus route ticket with pre-determined stops of your choice to take you all the way uo (or down) Vietnam but with no time limit. So you hop off at each pre-determined stop (saving money on accommodation for the nights you’re on the bus too!) and the day before you’re ready to leave, let the travel agent know and they will pick you up the next night from your hotel ready to sleep your way to the next town..

And my first stop was Nha Trang! Famous for its beaches (and popular holiday destination for Russians who seem to love the beach.
I stayed at Mojzo Inn which had fantastic reviews on trip advisor and certainly lived up to its name, despite being a bit hard to find..

And went for a long walk by myself around town. I found the Nha Tho Nui church and I see why it is popular in tourist reviews. It was amazing, but photos do not do it justice at all..
And then kept walking up the hill to find this pagoda. SCAM ALERT!! AS I walked into this pagoda I was approached by a very friendly young man explaining the history of the pagoda about monks committing suicide at the shrine at the entrance to the pagoda in protest. I let him follow me and talk, understanding that I would need to pay him at the end for his ‘guiding’, however, when I got to the sleeping statue another one of his friends joined us with postcards and demanded I pay his friend $20 for his service and also tried to sell me postcards. They were quite insistent and intimidating. Lucky for me I can also be stubborn and I don’t carry much cash (at least not easily visible and in a separate hidden pouch). I was really disappointed and left them and continued up the hill by myself to find a huge statue of a Buddha right at the top. An interesting finish to my long walk around town.
- I happened upon this pagoda. I think it was Mui Church

- Past the sleeping statue and further up the hill I came to this huge Buddha.
I asked around for bars close by and was told of a few. Met a few friends and went to a few clubs in the area and ended up at the bar which we were told not to go haha – ‘The Why Not Bar’. It has a reputation for pickpockets, particularly girl pickpocketer’s targeting men.
One last meal of Vietnamese rolls and time to move on..
